Kindah Foundation, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, and community leader in the development and empowerment of women and girls. We are passionate about eradicating and breaking the silence on cervical and ovarian cancer one female at a time, and also to break the stigma surrounding Human Papillomavirus (HPV) through education, awareness outreach, and survivors support services.
We believe no female should ever die from preventable cancer. On September 24, 2016, Kindah Foundation launches South Florida’s first-ever “5K run/ walk” dedicated to the Ovarian & Gynecologic Cancer community. We receive two proclamations, one from Broward County and one from the City of Pembroke Pines in support of our efforts to raise awareness on these deadly diseases. The ultimate goal of Kindah Foundation is inspiring hope, empowering change, and saving lives one female at a time.
Our core focus is these 3 simple steps:
- EDUCATION: Inform the community especially females in high schools, colleges, and universities about the warning signs and symptoms of Ovarian Cancer, PCOS, Cervical Cancer and the risk factors associated with HPV.
- AWARENESS: Promote early detection and prevention of Ovarian and Cervical Cancer through our annual Florida Teal 5K Run/ Fun Walk™ event.
- SURVIVORS SUPPORT SERVICES: We assist gynecologic cancer patients with co-payment, necessary prescription, transportation, meals, wigs, etc. We also provide our Purple Heart Survivor Care Kit to gynecologic cancer patient while they’re in treatment to help comfort their healing process.
The key to early diagnosis is AWARENESS.
